Bill Blair, Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Systems and Software, is responsible for product design and production strategies, technology road-maps, initial production and field implementations, as well as ongoing R&D.

With 18 years in communication services and product development, Mr. Blair has broad experience providing networked services using wireless, telecom and IP technologies.

He has founded three companies, taking one (Telepad Inc.) to public offering in the late 90’s. He has developed patents in RFID, VoIP, and networking. Mentored under Ken Olsen, founder of Digital Equipment Corp., Mr. Blair headed several PC engineering efforts in the late 90’s. On Wall Street, Mr. Blair developed systems to deliver collaborative broadband services for brokerage firms such as Merrill Lynch.

Three years ago Mr. Blair founded his third company based on his invention for reliably detecting if sponges, gauze pads, instruments or other foreign objects are about to be left inside the bodies of surgery patients before a surgeon closes up the patient. This invention will now be distributed by a major-brand medial supply company.

Mr. Blair began his career at Bell Atlantic designing special services and holds a BSEE and applied physics degree from Case Western University in 1988.
