- John Davis, Former CTO, AT&T Communications. Inventor/Developer of 5ESS,electronic switching systems that revolutionized global telecommunication. Co–invented SS7 a signaling system that enabled global direct dialing. Built first cell phone networks in the world. [It is with great sadness that we have learned that John passed away unexpectantly in December, 2006. Our hearts go out to his friends and family and we are honored by the support and endoursement of our efforts that he gave us before his untimeley passing.]
